The prevailing trend for hybrid manicure lasts continuously. I also used to go crazy about it, but today I know better options. Contrary to all the admirations, hybrid manicure has its drawbacks which, in a long run, start disturbing really badly. Is there any alternative to hybrid polishes? Hybrid Nail Polishes – For & Against

As the greatest asset of hybrid manicure people always mention its durability. Undoubtedly, hybrid manicure is indestructible. It holds on fingernails for weeks and I usually took them off only because my nails had grown too long. Exactly. So, since hybrid manicure is so durable, its removal doesn’t belong to the easiest procedures. Not every acetone is able to dissolve the hybrid polish and it’s quite a challenge to scrape it off.

I wouldn’t also overstate this easiness of application because either for unskilful or inexperienced person applying base, two even layers of varnish and top coat is a challenge as well. And the challenge gets even more serious when we have to use plenty of other things such as oils, cleaners, UV lamps, etc. The entire procedure of applying hybrid manicure is fairly fast since once we take out the fingers from the UV lamp, the nails are hardened and you don’t have to wait long to be sure that the varnish is dry in 100%. So what? Think about the time you have to devote to take off the varnish.

However, the greatest disadvantage of hybrid manicure, at least to my understanding, is the damage they cause. I hadn’t really paid attention to this until I noticed that hybrid manicure really damaged my delicate nail plate. After 4 months of having hybrid manicure done regularly, my fingernails became weakened, brittle and discoloured. They were in a very poor condition.

My alternative:
VINYL POLISHES

Luckily enough, vinyl polishes turned out to be the real life-savers. If I were to recommend you some, I would go for CND Vinylux Nail Polishes. They aren’t a typical hybrid stuff that has to be hardened under a UV lamp. Also, they are way better than a traditional nail polish. Moreover, vinyl polishes enable producing durable and flawless manicure that holds out for at least 7 days, sometimes even longer than that. Vinylux CND Nail Polish set contains only to items, which are a colour nail polish and a top coat. As you can see, UV lamp and base coat are redundant here. The product dries out fast after being applied to fingernails. Last but not least, vinyl polish can be removed alike any regular fingernail polishes and it doesn’t have to be softened due to acetone.

Vinyl polishes? For me they are a real snorter!
