5 Skin Care Mistakes – List of Biggest Sins!

Sometimes we don’t realise the huge skin care mistake we tend to make. I didn’t realize them either. We often make our skin suffer unconsciously, and that’s why I’m writing this post – check out the worst things that make your complexion suffer!

1. Chronic stress

Anxiety, stress, not enough sleep, constant pressure and tension. Sometimes we can’t do much about that, but they’re the greatest enemies of our skin. All negative emotions and situations affect our skin. Try to find some time every day to relax, pamper yourself, get enough sleep… Your skin will look smooth, plump and healthy for sure. Don’t pull all-nighters which give you dark under-eye circles. Remember you can change many things that make you feel and look bad. Take action!

2. Unbalanced diet

We should be blamed for this one. An unbalanced diet, not enough water intake every day, too much sugar and fatty food – that’s tragic for the condition of the skin, hair, nails, plus our mood. Vitamin supplements are worth taking because we’re unable to deliver all essential vitamins with food. Eat healthy products to enjoy young and flawless skin. Don’t eat too much – you’ll see the improvement quickly. Choose vegetables, fruits and nuts.

3. Medications

Illnesses, antibiotics and other medications worsen the skin. During treatment, make sure you deliver a large dose of vitamins to the body. The flu and other diseases leave the skin dull and vulnerable to the outside factors, sunlight, etc. Always apply sunscreen and use extra enhancement in the form of face masks, serums and brightening moisturisers.

4. Stimulants

Coffee, cigarettes, and too much alcohol cause damage to the skin. Not just the skin, but the entire body, hair, nails… I’m a coffee freak but I try to cut down because I see it makes my face much worse. On the other hand, it’s good to make use of coffee grains – DIY anti-cellulite scrub works wonders.

5. Wrong skin care for your skin type

It’s one of the top mistakes. Your bestie may be raving about the newest moisturiser – it doesn’t mean it’ll work wonders on your skin too. Always choose products for your own skin type and its needs – only such products will produce desired effects. Make sure they have good ingredients and are free from parabens, silicones and synthetic pigments. Natural cosmetics don’t cost a fortune and we can make many treatments at home.

That’s the end of the list featuring top skincare mistakes. To be honest, each of the five used to make my skin worse to a lesser or greater extent. Since I started eating better food, upgraded my skin care and ditched some bad habits, my skin’s looked healthier and more radiant.
