Beloved Aloe Gel – 10 Uses & Benefits

Back in my childhood, I remember there used to be a pot with aloe vera in my family house. My grandma would use it for healing many ailments – scrapes, rashes, chapped lips. Recently the forgotten plant has made a come back in my life. Holika Holika Aloe Soothing Gel is my number ONE!

What should you know about the product? Holika Holika Aloe Gel is a universal cosmetic. It contains (!) 99% of fresh aloe extract – a truly natural, concentrated and hypoallergenic product. It works for all skin types, even when your skin is extremely sensitive. It is really important to me (and others, I think) that Holika Holika is free from parabens, preservatives, colorants, mineral oils, animal-derived substances and other nasties that should not be applied to skin and hair.

I love Holika Holika Aloe Gel for the amazing packaging that looks like an aloe leaf. It is lightweight and quickly absorbed formula. The consistency makes the application easier. One 250 ml container lets me enjoy a few-month beauty care. There are many different ways I use aloe vera gel!

ALOE VERA GEL USES

  • Make-up primer. Aloe vera gel is immediately absorbed into the skin so you can use it as a base for make-up in the morning. It refreshes, moisturises and (also surprising) makes foundation long-wear and easier to apply.
  • Eye cream substitute. It smells like a fresh cucumber. Aloe gel can be used as an under-eye cream because it reduces swellings, eliminates shadows and dark circles around the eyes.
  • After-shave gel. My fiancé makes use of this property of aloe vera. He uses it as a substitute for a regular after-shave gel. He says it is a great moisturiser for overdried skin, it soothes irritations and gives a feeling of a nice chill.
  • Post-sun cosmetic. An ideal option for the fans of blistering in the sun. I love applying Holika Holika gel after sunbathing – alleviates irritation, cools the skin and reduces redness.
  • Scalp lotion. Since I first used aloe vera gel, the irritated and itchy scalp has not been bothering me. I massage it into the scalp and wait until it absorbs – hair is vital and gently lifted at the roots; the scalp is relieved.
  • Remedy for dandruff. I have always struggled with dandruff. Luckily, I rub aloe gel into the scalp – it prevents the recurring of dandruff, moisturises and has anti-fungal properties.
  • Hair end serum. Speaking of hair care, I recommend using aloe gel as a deeply moisturising serum for hair ends. Holika Holika helps me defrizz hair and prevent splitting ends. It also makes styling easier.
  • Anti acne cream. Aloe vera gel is a great remedy for acne. Since I started rubbing it gently into my skin (regularly!) instead of a cream – pimples and blackheads stopped appearing. Recommend it!
  • Wound cure. Holika Holika aloe gel is a perfect product that supports healing of bigger and smaller wounds. I apply it topically to scrapes, bites, burns or even bruises. Everything disappears – the skin stays spotless, hydrated, bouncy and as healthy as it has never been before.
  • Remedy for allergy. Last but not least… use for aloe vera gel is soothing allergic irritations and lesions e.g. after an insect’s bite.
