Hello!
Do you define your eyebrows so sharply the way many celebrities and bloggers tend to do it? And do you look as they do? I mean, do you wear the eyebrows that look as if they were drawn and enter the forehead skin area? If yes then you have to stop doing so immediately! Why? Mind you, natural look is what suits girls best! Obviously, it doesn’t mean that you should resign from applying makeup completely. In today’s post you’re going to find a few useful items of information concerning doing professional eyebrow makeup. Enjoy the reading!
Before you start applying makeup…
… do your best to shape the eyebrows appropriately. If your eyes are described as wide-set type, don’t remove the hair that is located at the beginning of the eyebrow arch. Thanks to this, you’ll optically shorten the distance between eyes. This rule, obviously, works the other way round. The close-set type of eyes can become optically distanced by removing a few eyebrows from the very point they start. Also, bear in mind that removing too much of the hair from the eyebrow arch can end up very badly. As a consequence, you can obtain super thin lines that are curved in a funny, far from being attractive, way.
Let’s do the eyebrows!
Of great importance is the shade we choose to be applied on our eyebrows. Basically, it should match both the shade of your complexion and eyebrow’s shade. It’s obvious that the hair can be neither too fair nor too dark. The safe borderline that shouldn’t be crossed is using a cosmetic of two tones brighter or darker. Equally important is using a product designed for eyebrow makeup. You can find numerous cosmetics in any drug store (pencils, gels, shadows, henna). My favourite ones are markers and pencils that feature a tiny comb thanks to which I can set the eyebrows and then apply the colour. I also like colour shades for eyebrows that go with an applicator. However, I often use a double set by Shiseido with a brush and a sponge, Burberry – Effortless Eyebrow Definer and two pencils, one from Inglot and the second from Brow Now Marc Jacobs.
How to shape eyebrows?
Gather an eyebrow pencil, tweezers and a magnifying mirror. Also, organise a comfortable space for the procedure (a regular table or a dressing table if you happen to have one). Begin with defining the shape of your eyebrow arch. Set the pencil parallel to your nose and mark the starting point of your eyebrow. Then, move the pencil so it goes through the outer corner of the eye. This will be the place where your eyebrow should have its end. By holding the pencil at the side of your nose, mark the spot where the eyebrow has to rinse. Remember that the pencil has to be located in front of the iris.
And how about you girls, how do you do your eyebrows?
