3 Things to Remember When Caring for Hair

Hey,

today’s topic is hair care. Even though we know so much about it, there are sill things we tend to forget. And I’d like to concentrate on them today. Here are 3 things that you must remember when caring for hair. Not because some blogger said so. They really matter for your hair health.

3 THINGS YOU CANNOT FORGET WHEN CARING FOR HAIR

1. MOISTURIZING

Moisturizing is definitely number one. This is necessary. After all water is essential to life but we forget that. We struggle to repair damaged hair, bind splits ends back together, eliminate nagging dandruff or stimulate faster growth, and it is important but we skip the key thing which is: every hair type needs moisturizing. Even if our hair is oily we must focus on delivering moisture. Really. Dry scalp entails the vicious circle because sebum glands overproduce oil to protect the skin against dryness. We end up with super-greasy strands. That’s not the look we want, right?

2. SCALP EXFOLIANT

This thing has been much talked about lately but still few people go for it. Some even say that scalp exfoliation is nothing but a sales gimmick. This is ridiculous to be honest because you can make a scalp scrub using what you’ve got at home (oil, honey, sugar). It is really worthwhile because scalp exfoliant removes accumulated build-up. The build-up that can’t be removed with a shampoo: styling products, dead cells, oil excess, etc. Scalp exfoliation busts all dirt from the outlets of follicles, restoring balance. You can try enzyme peel based on mild acids. I’m a fan of physical scrubs because they allow me to massage the scalp more intensively and stimulate the blood circulation – I’m sure you’re aware of the benefits. Scalp massage helps deliver more nutrients to follicles, strengthens and revitalizes the hair, and promotes faster growth. Hair will be thicker, longer and stronger, plus will stop thinning.

3. HAIR BRUSHING

I know brushing seems to be the thing that everybody does but most people (including me a few years ago) brush their strands only before and after washing or they simply run the fingers through the hair. This is a good thing if your hair is curly. However, other types need frequent brushing and not only to make hair look better. It’s obvious that hair is nicer without tangles but it isn’t the only benefit of this simple action. Brushing helps us keep the hair clean. We can remove the dust and impurities, keeping it fresh for longer. We also brush out the hairs that fell out, and dead cells. Frequent brushing is said to stimulate faster hair growth. My grandma told me that. Are you up for a challenge? 🙂

That’s it. Only 3 things to remember to keep the hair healthy. They do matter! Slightly forgotten but crucial. What about your hair care routine? Do you moisturize, exfoliate, and brush?
