The 3 Best Masks for Damaged Hair I’ve Used So Far

I get many questions about the hair products I use that make my hair look so lovely. It’s really nice to hear that. You probably guess I’ve been using tons of them through the years. Some of them did literally nothing and just had a nice smell while others even made my strands worse. Keep reading for the best hair-repair masks I have ever tried.

I ruined my hair many years ago. Fixing it wasn’t easy. Everyday straightening and frequent bleaching were enough for total destruction. Thankfully, I took action in time. First, I gave up on heat styling and coloring. Then, I cut damaged ends off and started using a repair mask after every wash. All that helped and gave me lovely hair back! I share the best masks which didn’t just make my hair look better but also strengthened it.

Nanoil Keratin Hair Mask

Nanoil Keratin Hair Mask

It’s another hair product by Nanoil that turned from a tester to a must-have. The Nanoil Keratin Hair Mask is dedicated to hair like mine (or like it used to be), that is dry and damaged. Though it’s already done its job – fixed my hair – I keep using it for protection. As far as technical details go, it comes in a 300-ml jar that allows checking how much product is left. It has a great price when we consider its size, formula and effects. The mask looks very fancy and makes a beautiful gift. It works for all hair types and textures, curly and thick, thin, dry or damaged – each of my friends testing it agrees. The Nanoil Keratin Hair Mask has a lightweight texture and is pleasant to apply, plus it doesn’t drip off. Obviously, what the mask does is the most important, and it does a lot. I noticed my hair got softer and shinier after the first use. Then, the longer I used it, the healthier and stronger my strands were getting. I think keratin and panthenol take credit for that. My hair’s no longer splitting. Keratin molecules strengthen the hair from within while panthenol keeps it optimally moisturized. The frizzy strands are gone! I love this mask. It gave me many benefits in a record time. I buy it through www.nanoil.us because they ship fast.

Kérastase Résistance Masque Thérapiste

Here’s a treat from another popular brand. The Kérastase Résistance Masque Thérapiste is recommended for extremely damaged hair, and I definitely think it shouldn’t be used on healthy hair because you may end up with overburdened strands. It works wonders on dry and dull hair, though. Smoothness and softness are the fastest effects you will spot. It needs more time to repair the hair from within and make it stronger thanks to amino acids and wheat proteins. It’s another lightweight mask but it tends to run down the hair so I usually use it with a shower cap. Regrettably, there’s a vice I need to bring up. It’s a high price for a 200-ml jar. I like the effect it produces but it’s very similar to Nanoil which is more budget-friendly and bigger-sized. That’s why Nanoil is number-one in my list.

Kevin Murphy Hydrate Me Masque

If I were to sum it up with just one sentence, I’d say this mask is a brilliant moisturizer. It’s the job it focuses on and that’s why I love it. My hair was damaged but dryness was its biggest weakness. No matter what I used, it would keep coarse, stiff and straw-like. Though any repair mask has a moisturizing effect, it was Kevin Murphy Hydrate Me that handled this problem best. It contains seaweed extract, evening primrose oil and rose oil which work by locking water in, improving hydration levels and softening the hair. This obviously gave me super-glossy and stronger tresses. It’s the only product I use on my scalp too (it also tends to get dry). I like to use it alternately with other masks (Nanoil and Kerastase) because they complement each other. The Kevin Murphy Hydrate Me Masque is thick and a small amount is enough to evenly cover the hair. The packaging holds 200 ml, has a lovely purple color and a pump applicator.

I always have the three masks in my bathroom. My hair’s much better now so I usually reach out for Nanoil to keep it lovely and safe from damage. After the summer, though, I like to boost the hydration in my sun-dried hair using the Kevin Murphy Masque.

I’m sure you won’t be disappointed if you choose one of the products from my roundup. They’re the 3 best masks for damaged hair I’ve ever used.
