Hey, girls!
The middle of the summer but you’re still wearing sneakers and long-sleeve blouses? Take a cream and pumice! Care for your elbows, hands and feet. Smooth skin and well-maintained hands look cool! Let me tell you how to do it and feel good in your own skin.
Soft Feet
The skin on heels is very thick because the whole body weight rests on our feet. Callus and blisters quickly affect the heels – inhibit walking and daily skincare routine. If you’ve noticed callus or blisters on your heels, go to the podiatrist’s – an expert in such ailments. Home care fails in such cases; you’ll suffer while walking.
If the situation isn’t as serious and your heels and toes are slightly calloused, you should prepare a bath and good moisturiser. Treat your feet to a repairing treatment; every two days, soak them in water mixed with moisturising liquid or boiled flaxseed. Next, smooth skin on heels with pumice (remember to rub the skin along the scrapes). After the bath and exfoliation, apply a rich moisturising cream, preferably including urea and vitamin A.
Smooth Elbows
The skin on elbows is exposed to dryness, roughness and irritations. Why? You lean on your elbows when you’re bored at school or try to figure something out at work. Result? Dry, darker and very thick skin. If you wear sleeveless or short-sleeve dresses and shirts, these imperfections are striking. What can you do to make elbows smooth and nice again? Use deep moisturisers and balms or DIY masks.
The olive mask will gift your elbows with immediate hydration. Mix a teaspoon of olive oil and castor oil. Rub the mixture into the skin and gently massage it. The banana mask will deliver similar effects; it additionally brightens the elbow skin and evens out the skin tone of hands. Mix two bananas with yoghurt, apply to skin and wrap with the gauze bandage and food paper. After 20 minutes, wash it off with warm water and apply a moisturiser. For better effects, use a scrub before applying the masks.
